Starting the season off with a bang, Team 514 nabbed first place at Penn State’s Happy Valley Invitational Tournament with a record of 6-2. Team 515 also finished with a record of 6-2 earning them a fourth place finish. Columbia was the only school which had two teams in the top five. Congratulations to Mandie Nowak and Mario Gabriele for Outstanding Witness Awards, and to Buchanan Vines, Shana Knizhnik, and Jessica Becker for their Outstanding Attorney Awards.

Founded in 1998, CUMT has since developed into one of the top programs in the nation. In the past five years, Columbia has placed five teams in the top ten at the National Championships and in 2004, was the National Championship Runner-Up. CUMT has won four Regional Championships and the students who comprise the program have won over 110 awards, including nine All-American awards.
